How much is slow follow-up costing your business?

    How this is calculated
    1. Share at risk = 1 − (1 − late-reply %) × (1 − no-follow-up %). The two are treated as independent, so an enquiry that is both is counted once.
    2. Enquiries at risk = enquiries a month × share at risk.
    3. Value leaking = enquiries at risk × your close rate × average admission value. This is what those enquiries are worth at the rate you already close; it is not lost for certain.
    4. Revenue you could win back = value leaking × your win-back assumption. A year = × 12.
    5. Payback = one-time cost ÷ (revenue won back a month × gross margin); 0 with no one-time cost. Uplift = revenue won back ÷ revenue today (enquiries × close rate × admission value) × 100.

Green, amber and red compare each result with the break-even your own numbers imply, never with an outside benchmark. Every starting number is an editable example, not an industry average.

    About this calculator

No. It is what those enquiries are worth at the close rate you already achieve. Some of them would never have bought. That is why the win-back share is your own assumption, and you can set it as low as you like.

An enquiry can be both late and never followed up. Treating the two as independent counts each enquiry once: share at risk = 1 − (1 − late %) × (1 − no follow-up %).

Pick 20 recent enquiries from calls, WhatsApp and forms, and note when each came in and when someone first replied. That sample is enough for this calculator.
